Keep passport expiry in view
Borderly stores the expiry date you enter. It does not scan a passport or ask for a passport number, and it does not infer expiry from nationality or issue date. This wallet is available without Pro.
Add a passport
- Open the passport card in Today, or You → Passports.
- Tap Add passport in an empty wallet or tap +.
- Choose the issuing country and enter the Expiry date exactly as printed.
- Optionally add a label and turn on Add issue date to enter that date.
- Tap Save. The wallet keeps saved passports ordered by expiry date.
If the issue date is later than the expiry date, an error appears and Save is disabled. Correct the date or turn off the optional issue date. Cancel closes without saving.
Read and change the saved dates
Tap a passport to see its remaining days, printed dates, and status. The app labels an expired passport and flags one with less than six months remaining. These are date-based reminders, not confirmation that a country will admit you.
Use Edit on the detail screen, or swipe the wallet row for Edit, to change its dates or label. If the wallet is empty it says No passport saved. If a detail view no longer has its record it says Passport not found.
Delete a passport
Open the passport, tap Delete passport, and confirm. It is removed from the local wallet and the detail closes. There is no passport-deletion Undo action. Copies in previously exported backups remain until you delete those files separately.
Check a trip
With Pro, the planner can compare a selected passport against your departure plus an optional three- or six-month buffer. The wallet's guidance includes an official advisory link for Indian passports and general destination-check guidance for other issuing countries.
Passport-expiry notifications are not scheduled in this version. The local notifications setting currently relates to rule results, not passport renewal reminders.
